And It Was Sew
The above bag is a lesson learned. I LOVED this batik. So when I decided that I wanted to do a new style of bag, I used this wonderful fabric. NEVER use your favorite fabric for a prototype. There is a reason that the picture of the bag is not of the whole thing. I don't want to go into any more detail than that...40 years of pattern making and I can still get it wrong. Sad, eh?
"Ruffled Up"
This is a pretty easy bag to put together. The pattern is also a lesson in bag pattern making. We explore how to measure for pockets, where to allow extra room to accommodate the quilted fabric, and how to customize a water bottle pocket.
